[player_tooltip player_id='612984' first='Alyvia' last='McCorkle'] is an electric player to watch compete. She brings fire and passion to the game when her team's need it the most. She is very skilled as a scoring threat on the offensive side of the ball but she also stands out with some of the defensive efforts she makes. She is always one of the first on the floor for a loose ball and she is always willing to risk it for a big steal in an impactful moment. 105. 105 is the number of steals that McCorkle had in 22 games last Winter. Ideally she puts together an even more impressive Senior season over the next few months and she comes close to this number once again before she heads off to Houston to compete with the Cougars for college ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='832213' first='Lizzy' last='Mason'] ranked in the Top 10 throughout the entire state of Iowa last season in total steals with 132 in 23 contests. Mason is a hungry competitor that plays with a lot of energy. She is very good at learning opponents tendencies early on in a game and that helps her understand when and where to go for steals against them when they matchup. Mason plays smart, simple basketball. She keeps everything in control as much as possible and that seems to help her thrive in most situations. This Winter should be a fun one for Central Lee. Now that everyone has some more experience under their belts, they should be really to aim for the sky's this Winter.

I think that everyone is expecting a big season out of Kenda Boatman of Keokuk High School. Boatman, a 5'9 CG and Cornell WBB commit, has always put up numbers on the Varsity floor ever since she was a Freshman. She is her team's main scoring threat, she rebounds hard, she assists others that become open when she is double teamed at times, and she defends her position at a thorough rate. So much so that she registered 122 steals in 23 games as a Junior. Boatman should be right around this number once again this season in the steals department. She will have the same role as year's past so I don't expect much to change in reality.

[player_tooltip player_id='896422' first='Addison' last='Merritt'] is going to play a big part on both sides of the ball for Springville this Winter at the guard position. Merritt is a skilled player that puts up respectable numbers each season up to this point in her career in the scoring category, while also being a productive on-ball defender. Merritt finished last Winter as a Sophomore with 112 steals in 25 games. That's a solid number each contest from a general standpoint. Her fast hands and quick acting instincts helped her get a lot of tips/deflections, which lead to turnovers in one way or another. If she can do that more this Winter, they should be in good shape with what they will bring to the floor offensively.
