2024s To Keep An Eye On
In this article:
With the 2024 rankings released, it is important to keep in mind that the list is only a starting point of a living document that will change plenty over the next 4 years before these young ladies graduate. Here’s a few players that are lower down the list but could make big moves in the future.
Ella Morrison Ella Morrison 5'8" | SG South Oldham | 2024 State KY , South Oldham – The younger sister of one of the best shooters in recent memory in the 8th region, it’s a little surprising that Ella has struggled to find the range from three this season for the Lady Dragons. Once she gets her three point shooting ironed out, Ella isn’t far off from averaging 15 and 10 a night as she’s already scoring 11 per night while grabbing almost 8 rebounds every game. Ella isn’t far from being a top 20 or better player in the class.
Savannah Gardner Savannah Gardner 6'0" | SF Christian Academy Louisville | 2024 State KY , CAL – Restricted to being more of a role player this season on offense, Gardner is doing a good job of impacting the game in other ways as she currently leads CAL in rebounding at over 7 per game. Her shooting efficiency is the only thing keeping her from averaging close to double figures on offense but she should get a lot more shots after this season as CAL will graduate a couple of good Seniors and Savannah’s role should expand.
Gracie-Jo Wilder Gracie-Jo Wilder 6'0" | SG Bell County | 2024 State KY , Whitley County – This is a case of needing to see more. Wilder is having a very strong freshman season but, at least in my case, I haven’t been able to see her play live and it’s a lot easier to get a good evaluation of a player when you see them in person as opposed to on film (or especially highlights). Gracie-Jo could very well be a top 10 player in the class right now but it will be easier to tell if we get to see her this summer with AAU or camp settings.
Paityn Isom Paityn Isom 5'6" | PG North Hardin | 2024 State KY , North Hardin – Isom is already one of the most valuable players in the state to her team as she has been sort of a “do it all” player for North Hardin this year. She leads the Trojans in nearly every statistical category and is already in the mix for top players in the 5th region. She is another player who will benefit from evaluations in AAU and camps as she was already a standout this past fall at our Top 250 expo in Louisville.
