Kim Davis Powell and John McGraw got together to host the 2021 Show-N-Prove Showcase in Daytona Beach. The two-day event featured some of the state’s top players across the 2022-2028 classes. We were in attendance for both days and will break down the performance of the events top players. Here we look at the top prospects in the 2025 class that were at the event.
We wrote about Asya Lara Barnes Asya Lara Barnes 6'0" | SF DME Academy | 2025 State FL HERE, identifying her as one of the top overall prospects at the event and the top 2025 prospect.
In addition to Barnes, the following players had impressive performances.
Nyla McFadden Nyla McFadden 5'11" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2025 State FL
McFadden caught my eyes immediately with her height, length, and wingspan. As I got to see her play throughout the weekend, I was impressed with her heigh ceiling and unlimited potential. She is a high level athlete, with an excellent body, and plays with a passion and energy that give her a chance to be really special! At 6’0 she is long and athletic and causes havoc on defense, cleans up the boards and can put the ball on the floor & finish well around rim. High ceiling player.
Laila Harvey Laila Harvey CG FL
Harvey showcased her ability to be a scoring combo guard. She was impressive in how easily she got by her defender off the dribble or with her first step off the catch. She got to the rim with ease and made things look smooth and easy!
Mayah Gordon Mayah Gordon 5'4" | PG The Rock | 2025 State FL
Gordon is a strong, quick young guard who can play both the 1 and the 2 spot and was efficient on the offensive end. Her explosive first step combined with her solid handle and strong build allowed her to get by her initial defender and into the paint and take contact.
Ke'Ayonna Gupton
Gupton is a young, raw athlete who could potentially develop into a long wing or also a versatile forward. She reminds me of a younger version of University of Richmond verbal commit and St. Thomas Aquinas star Jada Green Jada Green 5'11" | PF Kell | 2023 State GA . Her length, athleticism, and height are all key attributes that will give her a chance to be special. Just entering 9th grade, she still needs to grow into her body, get stronger and develop her offensive game but all the key attributes are there for a big time player!
Yolanda Floyd Yolanda Floyd 5'7" | CG Hillgrove | 2025 State GA
Floyd is a smooth, athletic, slender guard who was immediate offense the second she entered the game. She put points on the board by both attacking the rim and knocking it down the open 3. I loved her energy and passion that she played with and am excited to see her progression as a young player!
Alahni Lovett Alahni Lovett 5'5" | PG Lakewood | 2025 State FL
Lovett was one of top young guards as the showcase. She is both strong and athletic and has a great feel for game. She was very good in the open court and does a good job pushing and attacking in transition looking to get to the rim or create easy shots for her teammates. In transition, she also stood out with her ability to make passes to teammates running the floor, displaying excellent touch by leading them to the hoop and letting them run under it.
