Almost every player on this team plays in NOVA, so I have gotten a chance to see them all play on their respective high school teams. The girls listed are the girls I have had the chance to watch more than once, but the few girls left off are good players and are worth checking out.
Abby Beddis Abby Beddis 5’8″ | SG West Potomac | 2026 State VA is an excellent player who does two things at a high level; The first one is shooting. She can shoot off the dribble, space the floor and shoot off the catch. The other thing she does incredibly well is play defense. She has excellent instincts and gets her hands in passing lanes. She takes pride on that end, picking up opposing ball handlers from halfcourt and making their life difficult.

With Ava Sewall Ava Sewall 5’9″ | SG The Potomac School | 2026 State VA , you’re getting the total package. Ava is terrific as a driver because of her handles and athleticism. She is a skilled finisher around the rim and can finish at awkward angles. My favorite thing about Ava is when she goes downhill, she always has her head up finding open teammates. Ava can shoot the ball and is excellent at creating her shot from out there. Ava is also a plus defender; for a guard, she is a solid rebounder.
Highlights
Lilia Mellor
Lilia Mellor
Lilia Mellor is a fantastic floor general. She runs an offense like she’s a lot older than she is, and she is a high-IQ player. Lilia is a fantastic overall defender; her length is one of the biggest reasons why. Lilia is best used with the ball in her hands, but I think with her length and elite shooting ability, she could play off the ball in spots.
Sovay Reid
Sovay Reid
Versatility is the best word to describe Sovay Reid. I recently wrote up about her when talking about some of the best transfers in NOVA, and she deserves a lot of recognition. As a coach, she’s a player you love to have. She is a good ball-handler and could easily be a starting PG. She can also play on the wing with her length and defensive ability. She is a great rebounder and does the little things well.
Peyton White Peyton White 6’0″ | C Gainesville HS | 2026 State VA is a defensive force. She controls the paint and collects blocks at a high level. I watched Gainesville a lot, and they were one of the better defensive teams in the area, and Peyton White Peyton White 6’0″ | C Gainesville HS | 2026 State VA was a huge reason for that. Her rebounding is fantastic, too, and if Peyton starts to put it together offensively, your looking at a high-level basketball player.
Scarlet LeVake
Scarlet LeVake
Scarlet LeVake is another player I recently covered, and she is an intriguing player to watch moving forward. Scarlet is such an exciting player because this summer will be an excellent barometer for how significant her role for PVI will be. She can be a combo guard with her scoring and ball-handling ability, but at 6’2, she might play forward, which is where I see her playing a lot this summer. Wherever Scarlet is playing, she is a plus defender and a good player.
Yorktown guard Eleanor Mahshie Eleanor Mahshie 5’9″ | SG Yorktown | 2026 State VA is a terrific shooter. She gets the ball off quickly and playing on a team with so many good passers, her ability to knock down open shots is huge. Eleanor is a good driver and passer and one of the more underrated players on this team.
