Collins led her team to the Breslin last season where they fell in the championship game. Collins was a 1st team selection on the Associated Press All-State team. She led her team with 11.5 PPG and 4.4 APG. She is committed to Concordia University. I’m looking for her to have a successful Senior season with another deep run in the postseason.
Utomi led her team to the Regional Finals last season where they fell to a talented Blissfield team. She was a 1st team selection of the Associated Press All-State team. She and her twin sister Stacy just committed to Mercer University. She is a top 10 player in the State and has a chance to be the Division 3 player of the year. I expect Arbor Prep to have another deep run in the postseason behind the well rounded game of Utomi.
Overweg led her team to a District Championship and a 20-4 record last season. She was a 1st team selection on the Associated Press All-State team. She led her team with 18.2 PPG and 6.5 APG and is a true three level scorer. She has committed to Lawrence Tech University. She will have a big Senior season!
Zeitz led her team to the Regional Finals and a 21-3 record. She led her Dansville team with 15.3 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.9 APG and 4 steals a game. She was 1st team Associated Press All-State last season. She is committed to Spring Arbor University. If Zeitz replicates these numbers next season, her team will make another postseason run.
Highlights
Flynn had a great season last year for her Harbor Springs team leading them to a 17-6 record. She was a 1st team Associated Press All-State player, only one of the three sophomores chosen as 1st team. She has numerous Division 1 and 2 offers. I see a big Junior season coming this winter!
Bisballe had a big Junior season for Lake City and I wouldn’t expect anything less for her Senior season. She was 1st team Associated Press All-State and has a great chance of being the Division 3 Player of the Year this season. Her Lake City team lost in the Regional Finals to eventual State Champs Hemlock in overtime. She is committed to Grand Valley State University.
Bonnema led her Kalamazoo Christian team to the Regional Finals and a 22-4 record during her sophomore season. She was one of three sophomores chosen 1st team in the Associated Press All-State team. She has a couple of Division 2 offers, and I’m sure that number will continue to grow. Look for Bonnema to have a big Junior season!
Hovey led her team to a conference championship and a trip to the Breslin, where they lost to State Champion Hemlock. She was one of three sophomores chosen 1st team All-State Associated Press. She holds a few Division 2 offers and definitely more will be coming. She is crazy athletic and has a state championship under her belt in the High Jump. Look for Hovey and her Hart team to have another deep postseason run.
Moorer led her team to a conference championship and a trip to the Breslin where they fell in the Semifinals. Moorer led her team in with 13 PPG, 7 RPG and 2 APG. I expect Moorer to put up similar numbers this season and help her team with another deep postseason run. She was a 2nd team selection for the Associated Press All-State team last season, and will be in the running for Division 3 Player of the Year.
McLaughlin led her team to a conference championship, and had a tough District draw playing State Champs, Hemlock. She was a 2nd team selection in the Associated Press All-State team. I am expecting McLaughlin to put up big-time numbers in her Junior season.
Highlights
Mason led her Negaunee team to the Regional Finals Game and a 22-5 record last season. She was a 2nd team selection on the Associated Press All-State team. She has a couple Division 2 offers. I see her having a huge Senior season and helping her team make another postseason run.
Standfest led her team to the Quarterfinals last season where they fell to State Champs Hemlock. She was a 2nd team selection on the Associated Press All-State Team. She is committed to Michigan Tech University. Standfest will continue stuffing the stat sheet and have a big Senior season.
