Young came out with a vengeance off the top and that intensity stayed strong throughout the game. She’s “long and athletic” which is the base and her coming from out of nowhere to block shots had me smiling, and so did her playing the passing lane. She scored the basket but her defense, both in and outside the paint looked good

Young is “long and athletic” which is and always will be the base so watching her come from out of nowhere to block shots kept me going, except when the ball almost hit me in the face. She also went AFTA everything off the rim but her keeping the ball high throughout the game was nice, and so was her court vision and scoring around the basket

Young is “long and athletic” which is and will always be the base yet her progression on the court is having me envisioning her showing signs of taking games over, on either end of the court and my last sighting is part of my reasoning. I didn’t mention her energy as se goes after the ball off the rim yet her lateral movement and ability top regroup on the defensive end is also nice. Yes, her upside is bright because she shows me something different each time I’ve caught her

Young is another player that has taken jumps and if you understand the importance of the search bar, you would see what I said about her last season and understand the importance of progression. Long and athletic will ALWAYS be the base and in the first article, I mentioned I loved her “UPSIDE” so taking the title of an old song “Oops Upside Your Head” meaning OOPS, I was right again as here UPSIDE has shot up and she’s HEADING to be on the short lists of many D1 colleges. Her timing was always good, so was her rebounding yet both are better but so is her finishing strongly around the rim. She also did a good job defending in the open court but her playing the PASSING LANE JUST DID IT for me

I just gave her an evaluation from the Texas Ladies Jamboree yet after looking back at my notes, she showed something else that has gotten better and that would be her ‘hands and footwork” and when you combine that with her size, wingspan and upside, it’s no surprise she’s heading to the 2025 Watchlist dropping soon
