Here's part 1 of some of the stars of tomorrow who are getting ready for that first season of high school ball

[player_tooltip player_id='935784' first='Benita' last='Byrd'] has been flying since day 1 yet she's about to soar as she dazzled me with an array of offensive skills. Yeah, I knew she scored off the dribble but she's finishing stronger after contact and her range has gotten even deeper. Her court vision in the set as well as in transition was solid, she also picked some pockets with her quick hands. Oh yeah, her "catch and shoot" looked good

Jenna Beck also showed the "catch and shoot" but she does a good job of creating her shot and elevating on her jumper in the halfcourt. Her pull-up jumper in transition was nice and she scored off the dribble after contact

[player_tooltip player_id='864720' first='Hailey' last='Neal'] gave me an eyeful starting with her COP, change of pace, which will have many calling the law. Her first step is very nice, and so is her body control to finish acrobatically. Her "on the ball" defense created some turnovers, and so did her quick hands which led to steals. She also saw the floor and made good decisions

Dusti Verron is a "long and athletic" guard, which is also the base and she played within herself and did a good job of getting hers "in the flow". She sliced by defenders in the set to score off the dribble and she saw the floor

Jordan Carter attacked the basket strongly and showed she could finish after contact. She did a good job defending both in the set as well as in transition but watching her smoothly create her shot and drop the jumper was nice

Karneshia Smith was another "long and athletic" guard yet her first step is going to create some problems because she can leave the defender cemented to the court, in the set as well as in the open court. She scored off the dribble as well as from midrange and saw the floor
