[player_tooltip player_id='833952' first='Avery' last='Banks'] of Van Meter High School is going to have an important season ahead of herself this Winter on the high school floor. Banks showed last Winter that she was going to be a producer for her Varsity program for the upcoming future but this season kind of decides to what extent. Banks has the potential to be a top prospect out of her Class moving forward if she continues to grow her game. She has demonstrated that she is very skilled and understands how to do each move/skill, it's just always doing it consistently now. If she does that, I'm sure she is going to shine this Winter and the next few years to follow. In this Fall League, I would imagine that she is going to be an unquestionable leader with the ball in her hands but we will just have to wait and see.

If the Southeast Polk Rams want to win games that matter this upcoming season, they are going to have to trust in prospects out of the 2027 Class. One of them being SG, [player_tooltip player_id='835415' first='Presley' last='Zeutenhorst']. Zeutenhorst is going to step onto the Varsity floor this Winter with a big role to fill. She is a knockdown SG when she has time/space and her team's Varsity PG is going to be able to create that for her. As long as their coaching staff understands not to over-due that and they also run some motion or other solid sets, they should see some success during the 2024-2025 season with Zeutenhorst putting up respectable numbers across the board at the same time.

[player_tooltip player_id='758274' first='Jada' last='James'] will cross in from Nebraska, into Iowa and come to Des Moines to come compete against some of the best competition in Iowa over the next two-three months in this Fall [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] League for the Gym Rats. James has slowly grown her game over the past eight months and I can't wait to see if she can continue that trend moving forward. She was only a Freshman last season at the Varsity level but she stood out right away as someone who would be a main producer for them for the foreseeable future. My biggest challenge for her will be to see how efficient she can be but if she locks that down, the future is bright to say the least about James's play-style.

Someone that is going to have a chance to step up this Winter for her Urbandale High School program is [player_tooltip player_id='923933' first='Mariah' last='Dixon'] at the Guard position. Dixon is more of a reacting guard, that can handle well under pressure and find open teammates. She demonstrates a solid shot form whenever letting it fly and she really helps the others around her the best she can whenever she is out on the court. It'll be fun to see her against this level of competition this Fall in this league. If she can take over on the regular, it'll only help moving into the future.

I have yet to see Tess Weiner from Newman High School compete on the basketball court but I'm excited to see what she can do. From the looks of it, she is more athletic than most other guards and she will be able to be plugged into her team's offense in any given situation. It seems like defensively that she is just as solid and that she could be a major asset down the stretch of a contest. Like I've said above, this league has talent so it's all about making the most of your opportunities.
