We saw glimpses of Addie Abens Addie Abens 5'10" | SF Dallas Center-Grimes | 2027 State IA for DCG this season as they made their way to the 4A State Title game. Abens moved around in the middle and even popped out to the perimeter within some of her team’s offensive sets. That speaks to Abens versatility. She can be used as a solid 4 as a SF or she can move to the 3 and stick on someone smaller or to the 5 to wall up against someone bigger. Whenever you have someone like that, their role expands because you can move them all over the place. As long as Abens continues to work on her weakness in the off-season, she should come back next Winter with vengeance on her mind as a Senior. Her presence was noticed this season and role should grow in the future.

Addie Abens Addie Abens 5'10" | SF Dallas Center-Grimes | 2027 State IA is a player that I saw for the first time earlier this week and she really shined in her teams varsity contests. Abens is a 5’10/11 combo guard, who has both a guard and post like skill set with the ball in her hands. She moves quickly in the open court and finds her spots well on offense. I’m not sure if Abens is going to see the floor a ton this season because of how deep this Mustangs roster is coming off of a state title but she should see sometime. She works hard and it’s going to pay off in the end.
