We saw Adeline Mcevoy multiple times during this weekend at multiple PGH events and something was extremely obvious. Mcevoy is a hard worker, who is dedicated to playing this sport at the next level in one way or another. She doesn’t care at which level, she doesn’t care about getting credit for specific things while competing. She just wants to hoop, help her team, and play the sport she loves. Which is awesome. As an adult, I think everyone growing up has had those moments in one thing or another where they had to go all-in. That’s what ball is to Mcevoy and you can tell that by watching her hoop for five minutes. Great showing overall for the skilled PG from Douglas County West High School out of Nebraska.

There are a very different places at you can put Adeline McEvoy but her best spot is between the 2 and the 3. McEvoy is a prospect that will be competing with DC West High School over the next four years and she is ready to show everyone watching what she is about. With her quick decisions making, elite court vision, her willingness to adapt, and her smooth footwork, I’ll be fun to see how she competes. Over time if she wants to play at the highest level for herself at the collegiate ranks, she is going to have to transition into purely a SG but she still has plenty of time for that process to unfold. As for right now, she is just going to worry about what she can control and she will go from there.

Adeline Mcevoy Adeline Mcevoy 5'5" | PG/SG Douglas County West | 2028 NE is a multi-sport athlete, that also thrives on the track field, as well as the basketball court. McEvoy competed with her Dc West Varsity track team this season to start off her high school career in sports and she has been killing it. Following that, she has put together a solid resume on the basketball court, standing out for her athletic ability and work ethic. Those are two things that translate to any level of athletics. I’m not exactly sure of the Varsity situation at DC West just yet but McEvoy’s chance will come. Even if it’s not this season, this is a name to know over the next few years.
