I enjoyed watching Alex play. She is more of guard than her sister but maintains that nice 5’10 height. She is a lefty and very hard to stop going to her strong hand. Her quickness was good to see in person. It is always hard to gage how fast a player is on film and Alex has decent quickness to her game. She is strong, just like her sister. Alex is also a very capable scorer and her game might get overlooked a little due to her sister gaining recognition for scoring 50 in a game last season. Alex averaged 20 points per game and shot 51% from the field, 42% from three, and 83% from the free-throw line. This is a big-time stat line. It is going to be a lot of fun to see if Williston can piece everything together for a state tournament run in 2027.

Alex has emerged as an excellent talent alongside sister Averi for the Williston Coyotes. She is currently averaging 17.1 points per game, good for second on her squad. She is very efficient: shooting 48.6% from the field, 31.6% from three, and 80.6% from the free-throw line. She is also leading her team in rebounding, averaging 7.9 rebounds per game. The crafty lefty is another primary threat and makes her team dangerous. Her speed and height make her a good prospect. If Alex continues this plays she should be a lock for the All-WDA team.

There must be a good pipeline of basketball players in the Austreim household, as Alex is also a key contributor for the Williston Coyotes. She is averaged just under 10 points per game while shooting the ball efficiently. She is a great athlete and has great vision in the half-court, knowing when to hit a cutting teammate. I also like her defensively, particularly her on-ball defense. She does a great job of cutting off the dribble and keeping her team out of rotation.
