It didn’t take long to notice the skill and smoothness with which Anai operates with on the offensive end. The southpaw scored from all three levels consistently throughout 3 on 3 play. Braxton is a strong kid that used her power on the inside to score, but also showed touch shooting and making several shots from the perimeter. Braxton did not waste dribbles or force bad shots, instead picked and chose when to be aggressive on offense with very good results. Her game translated well in five on five play with similar results.

Anai brings good positional size, a strong frame, and valuable varsity experience in this 2030 class as one of the key guards to know on the Watch List. As an eighth grader, she averaged 13.2 points per game while leading her team in scoring which is an impressive accomplishment at such a young age. Now making the move to Bishop Moore, she’ll join a backcourt loaded with college-level talent, and she’ll have to earn her opportunities. That challenge should ultimately accelerate her development as learning and competing alongside high-level guards mirrors the transition she’ll eventually face at the collegiate level. Anai is a versatile guard who can handle the ball, initiate the offense, rebound her position, find open teammates, and comfortably attack or finish with either hand, giving her a well-rounded foundation with plenty of upside.
