Myla was another player who I did not know coming into the event, but definitely one that I will remember after seeing her operate with confidence and composure on the offensive end. Duber shot the ball very well from the perimeter with really nice form when the ball was released out of her hand. She also was very crafty off the dribble, getting into the painted area several times before scoring or finding an open teammate. Duber was a smooth operator who played with a maturity beyond her years.

Despite being a lefty, she is comfortable finishing with either hand and often looks just as natural using her right hand around the basket or on floaters in the lane. Myla displays strong court awareness, sees passing windows develop, and consistently makes the right read. She can also step out and knock down the three-point shot, making her a threat at multiple levels. Playing for a talented FGB 14U team and a strong New Smyrna Beach high school program will provide her with high-level competition year-round and should accelerate her development. While she may not possess “elite” size, she has an intriguing frame with some length and room to add strength. As she continues to develop physically and refine her skill set, Myla clearly has the tools to remain firmly in the conversation among the top players in Florida’s 2030 class.

The smooth-shooting guard poured in 21 points in one of the weekend’s most memorable games. Threes came from the top, the elbows, and from the corners. They came off the catch and off the dribble. Another impressive part of Duber’s performance is that the scoring came from various areas of the floor. The float game was as impressive as the threes from behind the palm trees. Duber played with great confidence, never hesitating to take big shots and consistently delivering daggers. She established herself as a player opponents must account for every time she steps on the floor.
