Whitehill, pictured in the banner photo above, made a significant impact for the Minnesota Stars Lodermeier squad at the Summer Kickoff. The 5’11 guard got going early on Sunday morning, using her explosive first step, tight handle on the ball, and ability to elevate over her defender to create her own shots off the dribble. Taylor kept the offense rolling, finding openings for slick pull-up jumpers and crafty step-through moves in the lane, even when facing heavy pressure from the defense. The Mounds View senior-to-be finished the matchup against the Minnesota Freeze with a team-high 16 points. We’ll be keeping an eye on her game as the summer goes on, but it’s become evident what Whitehill is gearing up for a big senior year with the Mustangs.

A recent addition to the 2027 prospect rankings, Whitehill made a lasting impression on us at the PGH Expo. While her length and athleticism are what made Taylor stand out immediately, it was her understanding of the game and willingness to do whatever the team needed that had us hooked. The 5’11 guard is light on her feet and possesses a long, wiry frame that helps her excel on the defensive end. She plays with tons of energy and is a disruptive force on the perimeter. On the offensive end, Taylor showed off her basketball IQ, consistently making the right reads and spacing the floor well. A junior at Mounds View, Whitehill is poised for a big year.
