From one Cherish to another as we shift our focus from SC Eagles UA Rise standouts to those from Team Unleashed South Carolina. Kinard previously played at one 5A school in Lugoff-Elgin and has brought her talents to another 5A campus in Ridge View – a team now coached by 4A Lower Richland’s former coach in Aaron Lucas. The two guard can display an ability to put points on the board from all three levels. The positive elements to Kinard’s game also include passing ability and making transition plays. Ridge View has been one of the state’s premier 5A teams the past few seasons and one can expect 2025-26 to be no different. 

The former coach at 4A Lower Richland Aaron Lucas was recently announced as the individual who will be at the helm of 5A Ridge View. Lucas will be thrilled with what he has to work with in Kinard. Even though her Team Unleashed South Carolina assembling was on the receiving end of a defeat to Macon Mystics , Kinard tallied 10 points to lead her team in a valiant effort. Kinard displayed an ability to put points on the board from all three levels. Kinard established herself early against the central Georgia team as six of her 10 points occurred in the first half of play. 

Ridge View was in the news recently when its now-former coach Terrence Gibson announced he was calling it a career with the Blazers. While the program is in a state of change, two Team Unleashed South Carolina standouts suggest that there is still a bright future in Columbia’s northeastern realms. While Kinard’s AAU team had a rough time against Macon Mystics 15U, Kinard would score seven points as a bright spot for her team. She previously played on the junior varsity team at another 5A South Carolina Midlands school in Lugoff-Elgin. Included in her overall skillset is the ability to make things happen from long range.
