I had my questions prior to this high school season about Doneelah Washington Doneelah Washington 6'1" | C Lincoln Northeast | 2024 State NE ‘s game but she put all of those to rest theses past few months. Washington has that combination that coaches love. She has natural size, soft hands, coordinated footwork, and a physical demeanor when she catches in the paint with her back to the basket. Every time that her team got her in a 1v1 situation this Winter, she thrived. Honestly, she also thrived even when two players would come to double, demonstrating really how unstoppable she can be. Over her past 3-4 years, her game has grown and her skill has expanded. If she can continue to work on her weaknesses and her team’s offense suits her play-style, then she is going to put up some big numbers over the next four seasons at Illinois State. In this Update though, she holds onto our #3 spot for this 2024 Class.
