It was a tough ending to a good sophomore campaign. Gates scored huge buckets down the stretch, getting by quick guards and scoring with floaters and other impressive finishing around the rim. She made huge strides forward this season as a productive and promising combo guard. Eager to see the improvements she continues to make this spring and summer.

Steady improver, who has shouldered a big load in Class 6A as a first year starter. Stretches the floor consistently as a good shooter. Even with building clutch bonafides that include a go ahead three in the final minute of a win over Edmond Memorial. Along with the foundation that shooting gives her, she’s fairly quick and willing to get her nose dirty on defense. Will poke out loose handles and make life tough on the opposition with on the ball pressure. As she gains more experience at the varsity level and this summer, expect her impact to grow.

One of the top rising sophomores in Oklahoma, Gates has hit the ground running as a starter for Norman North. Literally, she’s fast and gets after it on both ends of the court. Has some shiftiness to get defenders on their heels when driving. While also consistently shooting it well from beyond the arc. Combines with fellow sophomore Kinley McCoy Kinley McCoy 5'3" | PG/SG Norman North | 2028 State OK to give the Lady Timberwolves quality production now and a great foundation to build around for the future.

Norman North is replacing a lot of scoring and Gates will have a chance to help provide a scoring punch. During her AAU season, she displayed good form and range on three. Even occasionally hitting from college distance. More than just a sharpshooter, has a some wiggle off the bounce and can attack gaps/push in transition all the way to the rim. The Lady Timberwolves are in a new era with younger guards but older posts, representing a chance for Gates to step up and have a breakout sophomore season.

First time seeing Giada play and was very impressed with how aggressive she was on both ends of the floor. Moved great off the ball cutting backdoor for scoring opportunities in the game I watched. Good ball handles allow her to play the point or shooting guard.

A tough on ball defender that has quick hands meaning if you do not have the ball tucked away in the shooting pocket, she will get a piece of it. Showing off the ball help means she understands how to play some shell defense. 2028 I look forward to watching this upcoming season. The quickness on defense and versatility at guard play should help the Lady Timberwolves as they look for depth on their line up due to heavy graduation.
