Saturday offered me my first opportunity to see Jaida, and she was fun to watch. She is extremely quick and fast, she has an explosive first step, plus she has a wiry-strong frame at her height, so she absorbs contact fairly well as a smaller guard. She is a blur in transition, she finds gaps and collapses defenses, and she’s unselfish and finds open teammates. She’s also a problem defending the ball, because she can get “under” most ball-handlers and get them loose.
