Coming in ranked #7 among point guards in her class, Ray possesses the ball-handling, athleticism, and pace to control any game she plays in.

The Western Kentucky commit has accomplished a lot in her high school career and will showcase her talents across the country against some of the best—because she can compete with the best. She will play a major role in her team’s push for a national championship, bringing excitement on the offensive end and even more impact on the defensive end.

Jamila Ray Jamila Ray 5'7" | PG Montverde Academy | 2026 State FL is a flash on the court. Her ability to dribble at full speed and still be faster than the person guarding her is impressive. The PG is quick and shifty, excelling at getting her opponents off balance to create easier shots—whether it’s a pull-up jumper, where she elevates quickly and smoothly, or using her off foot or hand to throw off defenders’ timing at the rim. It’s all impressive and fun to watch her play.

Jamila is one of the bigger stock-risers in this class as she’s up nearly 20 spots and into the Top 25. She is a quick, athletic hooper that excels in transition with her length and speed. Her jumper continues to improve and she’s very hard to stop when going downhill with her right hand. Jamila is a high motor kid that works hard on the defensive end and on the boards as well. She has so much versatility in her game. There’s definitely still more potential here, for sure!

A healthy Jamila was huge for DP in Lakeland this year as she was the most impressive player on that team in their two games. She’s long and athletic and can score it at-will from 15 feet and in with her quick vertical and bounce. Jamila finished the week with 15.5 ppg, 7rpg, and 2.5 spg and was incredibly efficient in doing so. She’s going to be a force this summer!
