Joy’s toughness inside is anything but a joy to deal with as an opponent. Tchamabe posted 11 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a breakout performance. Hillgrove had a hard time matching Tchamabe’s physicality in the paint. She is a sneaky prospect to keep an eye on for D-II programs looking for muscle.

Joy is a change of pace post off the bench for the state champs. The rising junior is a powerhouse down low that bangs with vigor inside. She moves bodies with her strength, scoring on putbacks and using back to the basket moves. Joy is a nightmare to keep off the glass.

Joy was the X-Factor. With River Ridge missing their two starting post players, Tchamabe emerged as a battering ram that Buford couldn’t keep off the glass. The physical powerhouse provided 10 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks, scoring on four putbacks as she muscled her way into rebounding possession. I’ve always been high on Joy with how strong she plays and on Saturday, her value never shined brighter.
