She used an outstanding pivot to score a contested finish, deflected passes, grabbed rebounds, and generated steals. Kaitlyn showed her outside range and drained a corner three. She leaped up in a crowd to snag a rebound at its highest point and scored the putback. Kaitlyn used a spin move, absorbed contact, and converted the layup. She moved her feet and contested a drive to force a miss. Kaitlyn posted 12 points and turned in a gutsy performance for the Vikings.

Kaitlyn peppered the net from three-point range, cut hard to the basket, and finished effectively with both hands. She was a force on the offensive glass. Kaitlyn secured multiple rebounds and scored put-backs. She made a great recovery to block a shot from behind and appears ready for a phenomenal senior year.

Kaitlyn proved how dominant she could be during a thrilling regional finals game. At BCAM, Kaitlyn was great again for Haslett against an elite opponent. She used an assortment of pivot moves and dribbles to get by defenders on her path to the rim. Kaitlyn scored with great touch around the basket and converted free throws. She has the versatility to pop outside and drain three-pointers, face the basket and drive out of the high post, or post up defenders with her back-to-the-basket on the block. Kaitlyn protects the rim as a shot blocker and fights to secure rebounds. I expect Kaitlyn to have another strong season for a Haslett team that looks like a serious D2 contender. She will continue her career at SVSU following graduation.

Kaitlyn was close to unstoppable for Haslett during their Regional Finals game vs. Goodrich on Wednesday. She muscled her way into position to secure and score several offensive rebound putbacks. Kaitlyn finished a nifty fake-pass left-handed layup through a foul and a smooth reverse layup. She converted clutch free throws from the charity stripe and dominated the glass with 14 rebounds. One of her best moves was a crossover spin dribble that she used to beat her defender to score a layup off two feet. She used the spin dribble again to score an and-one layup off the glass. Kaitlyn led the Vikings with 22 points and her determined performance kept Haslett close to the very end.

Kaitlyn has length, offensive skills, and a smooth outside shot that make her a next-level target at the forward position. Kaitlyn is solid in the paint as a finisher, rebounder, and defender. She drills 3s for the Vikings’ and uses good footwork to face-up for straight-line drives to the rim.

Kaitlyn had a very efficient day for the Vikings at the Swartz Creek Showcase on Saturday. She started the game off hot by hitting two smooth 3s in the first quarter. Kaitlyn battled to score two strong offensive rebound putbacks and ended the game with 12 points. She made things look easy in the paint and earned All-Showcase Second Team Honors.

Johnson had an exceptional day at The Mitten Summer Showdown. We have her listed as a PF, but she is most definitely a guard with good size.
