Expert Analysis

At 6’1″ Kaliyah looked strong and imposing. Her versatility really jumps out and it’s easy to see why she is racking up so many D1 offers. She has excellent range on her shot and is strong enough to finish in the paint through contact. She can also guard multiple positions and handle playmaking duties if necessary.

#1 Power Forward
Kaliyah can be found sometimes roaming around the three point line. If she gets it out there she is usually on attack mode heading to the basket. Once she gets her body going in one direction she’s hard to stop without fouling. She will be a huge part of the Roadrunners interior threat.

POWER FORWARD
Kaliyah will bang it out down low with anyone and can blow by most players at her position. She is good at stretching the floor with her speed and handle and her size and strength make her a good finisher when attacking the basket.

‘s activity on the glass is always what impresses me. She is quicker and more athletic than the person guarding her when she’s playing forward, and she’s bigger and stronger than the person defending her when she’s playing wing. She excels when she uses her quickness to get to the rim and can give defenders trouble when aggressive.

Kaliyah has a nice body and good size inside. She has a college frame and can catch and attack from the wing. I could see her as a high post threat in college having her way from the top of the key beat forwards off the dribble and knock down the medium range shot.

Kaliyah created mismatches because of her speed and ability to attack the basket. She more naturally fit in the post area but stretching the floor forced either smaller or slower player to guard her. I can see her taking over the game in certain situations as she did scoring 11 points in 9 minutes against St. Mary’s Annapolis and dropping a three pointer.
