What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a sophomore I was selected as a team captain and displayed leadership both on and off the court. I enjoy volunteering through my church in the youth ministry, school clean-up each August and meal packing.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have faced many challenges in my basketball career. I had right shoulder surgery in 7th grade & left shoulder surgery in 8th grade. I battled through surgery/rehab, missing over 12 months of basketball in 2021-2022. During my sophomore season, my shoulder dislocated 3 times & each time I missed 10 -14 days. I was back on the court, battling through pain. I am used to fighting through adversity.
What type of college are you looking for?
I would like a college that offers physical therapy as a degree. After all of my shoulder issues and the time I have spent doing physical therapy, I would like to be able to help athletes like myself in the future. The size of the college doesn't really matter but I think I would like like something in the mid-range in terms of size.
