Koko continues her torrid run of production this season, leading the Lady Commodores with 20 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while doing so very efficiently. She’s turned in several big-time performances, including a 41-point, 12-rebound outing against Grant County, along with multiple games of 25-plus points. Koko has taken her game to new heights this season and recently reached the 1,000-point milestone for her career. She’s a post player to follow in the Class of 2028.

, who is averaging a team-leading 17.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. She has recorded double-digit points and rebounds in every game so far, including a monster 30-point, 15-rebound performance against Paris. Castle has made a major impact in the paint on both ends of the floor and has also done a solid job getting her teammates involved, making her the engine behind the Lady Commodores’ early success.

Koko had stretches of being dominant on Sunday. She scored on several post ups in a row in 5 on 5 action. A good rebounder, Castle is realistically an undersized post player but she understands how to use her body around the basket to create space and as she becomes a more consistent shooter from range, she should be incredibly hard to guard.

Koko was one of the top performers at the Expo yesterday, really standing out in the final 5v5 game of the day. She ran the floor hard, came up with a big-time block, knocked down a three, and finished strong with her left hand. She looks poised to have a big sophomore season for the Lady Commodores. I was able to watch Koko multiple days at the Run 4 Roses, and she impressed each time. Her perimeter shooting stood out, as she consistently made shots from both mid-range and behind the arc. She also attacked the basket with aggression, drawing contact and earning trips to the free-throw line. In addition to her scoring, Koko contributed on the boards on both ends of the floor, making a well-rounded impact for her team.

Koko has the potential to contribute a double double every time she hits the court and this AAU season should be no different. Castle is a little undersized to play the 4 at the next level but she plays hard and bigger than she really is at 5’9″. She can also knock down open threes. Koko shot 32% from three on nearly 100 attempts for Tates Creek this past season. She’s definitely a name to track this spring and summer.

is establishing herself as the top freshman in the 43rd district as well as a top 25 player in her class. She is the leading scorer for the Lady Commodores (12.6) and the second leading rebounder (6.2). Koko has several games with 15+ points and had her best performance in a OT thriller against Henry Clay, where she finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Her versatility on offense is what sets her apart. She excels at scoring in the paint, but has shown that she can shoot it efficiently from the mid-range and from behind the arc. (Featured Image)

Castle is a little undersized as a post player but that didn’t stop her from being effective on both ends of the court. Capable of scoring around the bucket and rebounding at a high rate, Koko should make an impact for Tates Creek this season and be a top 2028 in Lexington, long term.

Koko put in work in the post! When it comes to rebounding she is relentless and just flat out wants it more! She puts the “E” in effort and her footwork on the low the block is picture perfect! Koko can score with her back to the basket as well as faceup and take her defender off the dribble. Let me not forget about her ability to step-out and knock down mid-range jumpers! (Featured Image)

Was a force in the paint (Offensively and Defensively). Relentless rebounder and motor, as I was impressed with the way she battled on the glass. Made key plays down the stretch that didn’t show up on the stat sheet in both games. Finished with nearly a double-double in her two morning games.
