Leila Wells Leila Wells 5'9" | SF Brownsburg | 2028 IN had a productive spring that helped solidify herself as a player college coaches and evaluators need to continue monitoring closely. She brings toughness, athleticism, and energy every time she steps on the floor, and those traits translated well throughout the AAU circuit.

Wells plays with confidence offensively and can make plays from different spots on the floor. She attacks downhill aggressively, finishes through contact, and has shown the ability to knock down perimeter shots when defenders give her space. Defensively, she competes at a high level and consistently takes on difficult matchups. Her motor and physicality allowed her to stand out against quality competition all spring long.

Leila Wells Leila Wells 5'9" | SF Brownsburg | 2028 IN is a key piece on a very talented Indy One 16U team that continues to improve. She does a great job of seeing the floor and plays with a physical presence when the ball is in her hands, allowing her to handle pressure and make strong decisions.

Wells is effective on the wing, where she operates comfortably on the perimeter. She moves well without the ball, understands spacing, and can make plays within the flow of the offense. Her versatility and toughness give her the ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

Leila Wells Leila Wells 5'9" | SF Brownsburg | 2028 IN continues to show why she’s one of the key sophomores in Brownsburg’s program. She uses her size extremely well, especially when attacking the rim, and she’s become a reliable three-point shooter—forcing defenses to guard her at all levels. Her scoring versatility has been a major reason she’s off to a strong start this season, consistently averaging in double figures.

What stands out just as much as her scoring is her leadership. Leila does an excellent job guiding a talented Brownsburg JV group, bringing poise and confidence every night. Against HSE, she finished with 11 points and made several momentum plays that kept the Bulldogs within striking distance.

Leila is clearly taking the necessary steps in her development, and with her size, scoring ability, and improving decision-making, she’s positioning herself well to make an impact at the varsity level in the near future.

I had seen Leila briefly in the past, but this was my first time watching her at length, and she has a nice all-around game. She has a somewhat strong and physical game on the wing, she is a solid North/South driver, and she can absorb contact attacking the basket. She was hunting shots outside quite a bit, and for good reason, as she knocked down her share in the portion I saw. I think becoming a consistent multilevel scorer could really help her overall game, and she could step into a much bigger role as a Sophomore for the Lady Bulldogs.
