Omaha Westside has had some convincing wins already this season and they don’t plan on stopping that any time soon against their future opponents. Someone for Westside, that has a respectable game out of this 2027 Class is

at the CG position. Kennedy stands out because she is coordinated and she keeps it simple over everything else. She isn’t going to hit you with fancy moves but more-so fundamentals to produce. Kennedy is the type of player that can be moved into most systems in a short amount of time and she will always standout as a solid competitor. In this Update, she moves to the #60 spot to round out our Top 60.

There is a lot to like about the play we have seen from

of Omaha Westside over the past two years. Not only is Kennedy someone that you have to mark as a scorer on offense, she is scrappy on defense and she is also willing to cause chaos on that side of the ball. Kennedy took a few Charges last Winter as a Sophomore but she also averaged 15.5 PPG, 1.5 APG, & 4.5 RPG – demonstrating that she is always down to dive into the action. This is not a prospect that will stand there and watch things unfold. Instead, she makes things unfold. She plays some effortless Basketball while always being a viable option to make a play on either side of the floor so I can’t wait to see what she puts together for her Junior year.

“It seems that Lena Kennedy can do a little bit of everything out at the guard position on the floor, while even being able to move near the post if she has a smaller defender on her. Kennedy stood out during the skill part of the Showcase with her shooting stroke, ability to handle, her tenacious ability to defend the 2-3 positions, and her ability to rebound. If she continues to work on the weaknesses in her game, she is going to turn out to be a productive overall prospect.”
