How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

2026 Mariah Mcilwain impressively performs on the court with nice moves, knocked down shots, amazing passing, hustles to obtain rebounds, uses great footwork and shows great teamwork. Mariah continuously gets notice for consistent 3-point shootings, and her quick penetration to the basket!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mariah is a very kindhearted person and player. Mariah gets along with everyone she encounters and always carries a “smile” on her face. Mariah never complains on the court, or shows any resentment towards an official, opponent or player, while on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Mariah received the “Varsity Most Improved Player Award” at the end of 2023-2024 season as a sophomore. Mariah has received many academic honors awards and is listed on the Principal’s Award list.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Mariah has developed leadership initiatives among teammates, by constantly motivating and encouraging players during practices, workouts and games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a sophomore last year, Mariah faced significant challenges with proving herself to have more court time, with her upperclassmen. By the end of the season, Mariah was rewarded with immense game time, and justifying why “hard work pays dividends for future opportunities”

What type of college are you looking for?

Mariah is looking for colleges who values their basketball program as a top contender in their conference and region. Mariah is looking for coaches who will continue to enhance her current athletic skills to be a better dominant force among greater competition at the next level.
