PGH MI College Tour III GVSU: 16U Diamonds Sneak Peek

The PGH MI College Tour makes its third stop at Grand Valley State this weekend. Home to the back-to-back D2 National Champions, the gym will be packed with college coaches and prospects who can contribute at every level. The 16U Diamond bracket is loaded with top-tier talent from Michigan and bordering states. One thing is clear...there will be no place to hide on the court. This is why you train and why you prepare--to stand out in these moments on the biggest stage. Lucky for me, I've got a front row seat! There's going to be some very intriguing matchups tomorrow, and the intensity will be off the charts with club vs. club bragging rights, college opportunities, and media recognition at stake. Anticipation is building, and these are the prospects I'm expecting to be critical to their team's success tomorrow.    A bulldog guard who physically imposes her will on both ends of the court. Slasher, rebounder, finisher, three-point threat, Jayna can do it all. Coming off an All-Tournament First Team performance at Wayne State, followed by an offer from Wayne State, Jayna will be a huge deciding factor for Dream Loudly 16 U Paiz as they look to defend their Diamond Championship at GVSU tomorrow.     Delaney is the lone Michigan representative on the Always 100 16U E32 Thunder roster. As fate would have it, one of the best days I've seen Delaney have was right here at Grand Valley State for their elite camp last summer, so she'll feel right at home. Delaney has athleticism, length, excellent court vision, an accurate three-point jumper, and good touch in the lane. She works hard on the defensive end and will be a playmaker to watch at the PGH MI College Tour III.     Ella's stock keeps going up. She's filling out her frame and showing all the signs of an elite guard prospect. Fundamentally sound, zips the ball around the court, skilled finisher/balanced, accurate from beyond the arc, shot blocker/disrupter in the passing lanes, length, and quickness. Ella was an All-Tournament First Team selection at the Northwood PGH MI College Tour, and she'll be a key prospect to focus on with Mystics 16U P24 tomorrow.     I caught a glimpse of Zariya on film during The Clash, and she was hitting shots from the outside and sprinting up the floor like a gazelle to score transition points. All the athleticism and length to be a high-level wing, Zariya is dangerous as a slasher and will make teams pay who give her space from three. She closes out quickly to swat shots on the perimeter and protects the rim inside. Zariya's athleticism and length should cause matchup problems, and she'll be a key prospect for [program_tooltip program_id='712670' first='Michigan' last='Storm Elite'] 16U at the PGH MI College Tour III.     Molly turned the heads of PGH scouts from Ohio and Indiana at the Great Lakes Kickoff. Her length, athleticism, and versatile scoring particularly made an impression. Molly can attack a defender's foot for a drive-by and punish teams from the perimeter with her confident three-point shooting. Molly will be one of Michigan's top guard-wing prospects in the gym at the PGH MI College Tour III, and her impact will be big for MBA UAA 17U tomorrow.     Leah was one of my favorite prospects in the gym at the PGH Indiana Sophomore ID Camp--talk about a fun trip! She was a sniper from three-point range off the dribble and the catch. Great court vision, facilitating instincts, physical strength in the paint, determination on the boards, plus the ability to create space with her shifty ball-handling combos. Leah checks the boxes, and she'll be a prospect for college coaches to pay close attention to with Always 100 16U P32 Grind at the PGH MI College Tour III tomorrow.     Lucy does everything she has to do to help her team win, and that's exactly what Lumen Christi did until they were the only team standing. Lucy has twitchy quickness off the dribble and an extra gear when driving to the basket. She's as tough as they come, a gritty defender, and has an endless motor. Lucy has a smooth three-point stroke and will be a playmaker at guard to watch for [program_tooltip program_id='714462' first='Michigan' last='Premier'] Select 16U tomorrow at the PGH MI College Tour III.     Maci has been on a roll for Mystics 16U Josh S40 to start the AAU season, including a dominant All-Tournament First Team performance at the Northwood PGH MI College Tour. Her length, ability to attack gaps to score off the dribble, facilitating, aggressive rebounding, quickness in the open court, instincts to jump passes leading to turnovers on the defensive end, and confidence from beyond the arc has made her extremely impactful. Maci heads into the PGH MI College III looking to make a loud statement in a stacked division and she'll be a playmaker to pay attention to.
