is a shooter to keep your eye on in the finals. Her ability to shoot the three in transition is a back breaker. Martin has really good speed and often gets out of head of the opponent in transition. She is not shy about pulling up for the three. She can also push the rock up the floor herself and pull-up for the jumper. Riley has 43 threes to date and shoots it at 41 percent.

gets up and down the court consistently throughout the game. She has great timing getting out on the outlet, and that comes with a lot of trust that her teammates are getting the rebounds. Martin can also get the rebound and push it herself. She is sneaky fast and has a great understanding of running the floor. Martin is a confident shooter, and she can pull the three in transition. Her ability to shoot off the catch and off the dribble makes Martin dangerous in the transition game.

made it clear right off the jump that she can to play. In front of a room full of college coaches and spectators, Martin had the nets “smoking “. Martin plays with a lot of savvy and knows how to set up for the shot with good timing and subtle movements on the floor. Martin’s shooting stroke is smooth and it looks like money when she lets it go. She has a great feel for playing in the moment and loves to rise to the occasion. Her competitive nature comes through as well. On Day 1, she competed on defense and mixed it up a few times with the opponent. Martin is a selfless player who makes the correct basketball play on the court, and when shooting was the right play, she did just that- “Money!”

has hit her stride before the mid season arrived and averaged nearly 13 points the past three games. What stand out about Martin’s game is her competitive nature and energy on the floor and her ability to score from any level in the court.

Martin becomes one of the top “lights out” shooters in the 2025 class. Martin stands out on the floor. Her grit and ability to shoot the rock come to mind. Last year, Martin knocked down 44 threes, and she has already started out on a good note in 2024. Martin attended several showcases over the summer and stood out every time with her ability to shoot the rock. At one showcase, one of the college coaches singled Martin out because of her shooting abilities. He was more surprised when she missed a shot than when she made one. Martin’s consistent shooting and scoring ability are her bread and butter. She is primed for a special season and will have a huge impact on her team’s success this upcoming season.

The 5’9 “hybrid guard” plays with a flair and excitement that can only truly be appreciated in person. Riley is coming off a great AAU season with Duval Elite SWFL where she displayed her ability to score at all three levels. The Newberry commit has unlimited range and is lethal in transition where she can stop on a dime and pull up from anywhere. She has an elite mid-range jumper and can finish in the paint with either hand, that coupled with her ability to pass at a high level makes her unguardable. Riley has a lethal cross over and and can get her shot off going either way. In the half-court offense she creates issues for the defense in pick and roll sets and can play off ball as a catch and shoot option. Her quickness and creativity with the ball in her hands make her a unique and unfair addition to an already stacked Cardinal Mooney squad. Riley is box office.

Last year, Martin co-led her high school team, Venice, in points per game (11.1), scoring 300 points over the season. Riley helped lead Venice to a 17-10 record and a run to the 7A state tournament regional finals.
This season, Martin will be taking her talents to Cardinal Mooney, the 3A state runners-up. Already a team stacked with multiple players holding college offers and returning everyone but one player, Riley adds an extra scoring ability that will help Cardinal Mooney compete for and possibily win the state championship this year.
Riley keeps the ball on a string at all times, and if you’re not careful, you might end up on her highlight reel. Martin shoots the ball at a high percentage, whether it’s off the catch, screen, or dribble, making her a constant scoring threat. She can play both on and off the ball and can score in transition or in a half-court offense. Simply put, Martin can flat-out SCORE!

balled out at the FABC Showcase and her move to Cardinal Mooney will be very impactful. It could be one of the biggest transfers of the season. Some might say “Lakeland-Impactful.” Cardinal Mooney was already a favorite to make it to Lakeland with their roster. Now they might be a favorite to win it all. Martin’s ability to shoot, score, handle the ball, and help run the offense are huge additions. Martin and her new teammates played very well together at the FABC. It was a preview for of what it will look like this upcoming high school season.
