Every good team needs a player like Zora Burrell Zora Burrell Zora Burrell 5'7" | CG The Potomac School | 2025 State VA and she had a couple of outstanding performances this week for Potomac School. Zora had a big triple-double in a win over St. Andrews Episcopal with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. Zora’s commitment to the defensive end is always elite and she consistently makes the right play. Zora had a 12 points 15 rebound double-double in Potomac School’s game against South Shore at the Capitol Invitational.

She is always willing to do the little things, and she excels at them. Zora is one of the top defenders in NOVA. Zora is one of the best charge-takers I’ve seen, and she is always out-hustling whoever she is up against. She guards every perimeter position well and is a high-IQ defender. I can confidently say I don’t know a player who takes more pride in doing the dirty work than Zora. She is an outstanding rebounder and one of the best pound-for-pound in the state.

Zora Burrell Zora Burrell Zora Burrell 5'7" | CG The Potomac School | 2025 State VA is the perfect example of what you would call a glue girl. Zora does all the little things exceptionally well. Zora makes the right pass and has nonstop energy. Her rebounding at her size makes her one of the best pound-for-pound rebounders in the area. Potomac School has a lot of talented guards, and adding Ava Sewall Ava Sewall Ava Sewall 5'9" | SG The Potomac School | 2026 State VA will give them another talented scorer. But even with their offensive talent, Zora will still find an essential place in this lineup. Having Zora on the court will raise this team’s ceiling, and only a few players can impact games without scoring more than her.

Zora Burrell Zora Burrell Zora Burrell 5'7" | CG The Potomac School | 2025 State VA is one of the more underrated players in NOVA. She does all the little things well for a terrific Potomac School team. On Wednesday, Zora filled the stat sheet in a 7-point win over St. Andrews. She finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals. On Friday, Zora finished with 6 steals and 10 rebounds in a competitive game against one of the country’s best teams, Sidwell Friends. Zora is a terrific defender and always provides endless energy. She is one of the best charge-takers I’ve ever seen and always takes the opposing team’s best perimeter player. Zora had her hands all over both Potomac Schools games this week, and it’s time people pay more attention to what she brings to the court.
