Ny’ceara Pryor, Western
Known throughout the DMV as “Lil Mama” Ny’ Ceara is a terror on defense despite her 5’1″ frame. She is very disruptive on and off the ball and is a surprisingly good rebounder for a small guard. She is a pass first coach on the court but can score when needed. You can’t keep a player like that out of the line up.
Nekhu Mitchell, McDonogh
Nekhu is an athletic wing that finishes inside pretty consistently. She has improved her shot and is a threat all the way out to the 3 point line. She has secured a spot in the starting line up and should get more comfortable as she adjusts to the high school game.
Madison Nimmo, Institute of Notre Dame
Maddie is a combo guard that will immediately help Coach Dubose with outside shooting and ball handling. She is fearless and should play heavy minutes.
Ashley Dickey, Catonsville
Ashley plays at a frenetic pace and always brings energy to the court. Once she learns how Coach Mohler wants her to run the offense she will be hard to take off the floor.
Gabby Johnson, Western
Gabby’s nickname is Showtime because she has a knack for making plays with flair. She is solid ball handler and a good scorer that is willing to lock up on defense.
Mya Simmons, Roland Park
Mya is a smart player and a good shooter so that alone will get her a chance to see some court time. Roland Park’s bench is a bit thin so it’s the perfect opportunity for a youngin’ to shine.
Gabby Scott, Howard
Gabby has nice size and can score in a variety of ways. She has already led the team in scoring in a game so she has solidified a spot in the rotation.
Cori Barnes, St. Frances
At 5’9′ and solidly built, Cori is promising guard/wing prospect. She will launch shots from deep and has some finishing ability in the paint. She has improved her defensive effort so she should be a contributor as the Panthers chase another title.
Daimoni Dorsey, St. Frances
Daimoni is a scrappy player with a knack for scoring so Coach Shelton will find minutes in the rotation for her.
Tsion Smith, Institute of Notre Dame
Tsion is a tough kid that will strap up on defense and fight for loose balls. She will probably start because she is versatile and can stretch the floor with her range.
Amaya Frazier, Pikesville
Ms. Frazier is a poised and intelligent point guard. She will take her lumps early but should help stabilize the Panthers’ backcourt.
Jaela Reed, Meade
Jaela is a big and athletic guard that fits pretty well in Coach Dobbins’ system. Look for some solid contributions after she gets a few games of experience.
