Right now players a lot of the 2024 class have committed to their future high schools, some are still shopping. All are hoping to just get on the floor. The future is uncertain for us all but, one we do began we have some talent that will be looking to make an immediate impact.
Incoming players to watch:
KENDALL DUDLEY – 6’0″ – GUARD
Kendall DudleyKendall has been the prize of the class for a couple of years now. She has been the target of practically every high school and club coach on the sceen and has also gained the attention of major division one coaches. She can play every position and has the size and body to play division on now. She can handle the ball in transition and create in the half court. She is a good rebounder and finisher. Kendall should see immediate time on a varsity roster and quite possibly be in the starting lineup once the season begins.
KIYOMI MCMILLER – 5’6″ – POINT GUARD
Kiyomi will reportedly lace up for St. John’s College once the season begins. She has been amongst the top players in her class since the 4th grade. She has established herself as a national prospect playing up in the 16/17u bracket in elemetary school. Her size is starting to fill out and you can see the maturity coming in. She probably has the best handle in the class and will most likely be the most varsity ready player entering high school.
MADISEN MCDANIEL – 5’5″ – POINT GUARD
Madisen has been the target of WCAC champions Bishop McNamara for a couple of years and the persistence has paid off. She will joing the Mustangs in the fall and will challenge for time at the point guard spot. Madisen has excellent handles and great floor vision and court awareness. She is a leader on the floor that will get her teammates involved and knock down open shots.
AMAYA DURRETT – 5’4″ – COMBO GUARD
Amaya DurrettAmaya is one of the quickest guards in the class. Very difficult to stay in front of, she has been collecting multiple awards in middle school, including the MVP of the PG County Middle School Championship Game. She can knock down the three and is a terror in the passing lanes. It will be interesting to see how her middle school dominance translate into the varsity scene.
TATUM GREENE – 6’1″ – WING
Tatum has the body and size to step in and contribute as a freshman. Defensively she has all the tools to defend the perimeter and post. Offensively she is aggresive and looks for her shots, if she keeps the accuracy and gets the freedom she can be a force in the 2024 class.
LANAE’ COLBERT – 6’1″ – FORWARD
LaNae’ ColbertLaNae’ has been dominant inside in middle school and borderling unstoppable. She is an excellent finisher who’s comfortable with her back to the basket. She can also face up and knock down the mid range jumper. It will be interesting to see how quickly she can make the adjustment to the speed and physicality of high school basketball.
NADIA SIMPSON – 5’4″ – GUARD
Nadia SimpsonNadia has the ability to break down the defense with her dribble drive. She is good at dishing after attack due tot he fact she keeps her eyes up while attacking. Her future teammates will love to play with her because of her unselfishness. She will have to figure out how to adjust to playing against taller players in high schoo.
