Hayden Barrier Hayden Barrier 5'6" | SG Montgomery County | 2024 State KY , Montgomery County – Barrier reclassed to 2025 and will be a Freshman again this year. She added an offer from Morehead State in addition to previous offers from Northern Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky. Hayden should have a big Freshman season this winter as most of her 2024 classmates also took advantage of SB 128 and are repeating and Montgomery will be a factor in the 10th region title chase this season.
Ciara Byars Ciara Byars 6'2" | CG George Rogers Clark | 2025 State KY , George Rogers Clark – One big hurdle for any team trying to win the 10th region will be the Byars sisters at GRC. Ciara is going to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses as she’s over 6 foot tall and can play any position on the floor. Byars spent her summer playing with a talented Kentucky Premier group this AAU season and hopes to ride the wave of a successful summer season into a big Freshman year.
ZaKiyah Johnson ZaKiyah Johnson 6'0" | SF Sacred Heart | 2025 State KY , Sacred Heart – You can file the inclusion of Zakiyah to this list under “duh” but there aren’t many players in America who had a better summer. Johnson played up 3 age groups on 17u with Kentucky Premier and added high major offers one after the other for all of July. She’s now on the short list for top 2025s in America.
Leah Macy Leah Macy 6'3" | PF Bethlehem | 2025 State KY , Bardstown – Macy also falls under the “duh” category for being added to this list. Zakiyah gets a lot of headlines but Leah is right on her heels in terms of talent and high major scholarship offers. She also played with Kentucky Premier this summer and should be a top 100 player in 2025 nationally once those rankings come out.
