St. Benedict’s is the home of trainer and coach Kevin Bullock’s Premier Basketball. Bullock is one of the best in the business for skill development and he ran the session with some assistance from other trainers.
Most of the players at the workout were girls from the Team Melo program with a few others sprinkled in from area programs. I caught the 8th grade (2026) session as did a number of area high school coaches. A handful of players really stood out to me. Here are some…
Jacara Spencer, 2026
My favorite player from the event by far. She’s a big guard with tremendous potential. A strong ball handler with a great feel for setting up her teammates, she also showed that she is a three level scorer. She went strong to the hoop and finished through contact. Has the physical attributes to become a lock down defender if she wants to.
Makiah Pollard, 2026
Slick point guard that likes to get her teammates involved, almost to a fault. She passed up some scoring opportunities where I wanted to see her take over so I could evaluate her offense in more detail. She has good playmaking instincts, tried every possession to get her team to run something, competed on defense and took care of the ball. I will definitely be watching her going forward.
Arianna Harris, 2026
Arianna is improving every time out. She’s well over six feet and knows how to use her size. She tries to block everything in the paint and crashes the boards aggressively. She has developed a nice shooting touch and makes all of the shots that she is supposed to make. Very smart player who reads the defense and passes well from the high post. Big time prospect.
Dahni Suggs, 2026
Dahni has the look of a special player. She is a six footer with excellent length and athleticism and I love the way she takes and usually makes difficult shots. It’s too early to stick a position on her because she’s just out there balling and learning the game. She will contribute from day one at whatever high school is lucky enough to land her.
