Jennifer Briggs Jennifer Briggs 5'5" | PG Marvin Ridge | 2025 NC | 1 of 1 Prep
Briggs is an excellent ball handler moving with the ball up the court with speed. She constantly keeps her eyes up looking for her open teammates, and she can make those difficult passes between defenders up the court on fast breaks. Opponents definitely shouldn’t leave her open around the perimeter as she can drain it from deep. On defense, she is a pest jumping into passing lanes to get the steal.
Brooklyn Saunders Brooklyn Saunders 5'5" | PG Butler | 2025 State NC | David W. Butler
Saunders (pictured above) began her career at Butler immediately taking a leadership role. She’s averaging over 15 points a game showing how important it is for her to be touching the ball throughout the game for her team. She’s efficient handling the ball getting around her opponents with speed, and she does well seeing the floor finding the openings for her own shot or dishing it to her teammates underneath the basket.
Mary Church Mary Church 5'7" | SG East Rowan | 2025 State NC | Gray Stone Day
Church consistently scores in the double digits because she can score anywhere. She scores from deep, and she doesn’t shy away from driving hard to the basket. Her ball moves make it hard for people to keep up with her. She can definitely get inside to grab rebounds, and her use of power dribbles makes it easy for her to score from the block.
Jamyia Lindsey Jamyia Lindsey 5'6" | PG Richmond Sr | 2025 State NC | Richmond
Lindsey is a three level scorer leading her high school team already as a freshman. She’s averaging over 20 points a game shooting from beyond the arc, pulling up for midrange jump shots, and taking it to the hoop. She pushes the ball up the court on solo fast breaks, and she moves well around the court shifting the defense to find her open teammates underneath the basket.
Breonna Roaf Breonna Roaf 5'7" | PG Terry Sanford | 2025 State NC | Terry Sanford
Roaf has been known as a great ball handler for years. Watching her push the ball up the court on fast breaks shows her IQ getting all the way to the rim herself or even stepping back for a transition jump shot. She can definitely drain it from deep, too. On the other end of the court, she’s a tough defender grabbing steals and taking it the other direction with ease.
