Insider Exposure Apache: 2023 Top Performers

Prep Girls Hoops is always looking to cover players from every state. The Hoop State has no shortage of talent throughout its classes coming up the ranks. Let's take a look at some 2023 Top Performers we were able to see play last weekend at the Apache Memorial Showcase in Charlotte. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-421166" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/D4344626-A776-4DD5-9123-CECAAF9B9517.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="116911" first="Staci" last="Williams"] - ABC Lightning Showcase Elite - Holly Springs HS </strong> Staci is the floor leader for this squad playing for her father Head Coach Gary Williams.  Williams is crafty and really sees the floor well from the point guard position. Staci will get the ball into the paint and drop some floaters from time to time. Staci can make shots on the perimeter and never seems to leave the floor while logging a lot of minutes. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-421173" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/47FF3A0A-0FB1-434D-A273-CCFC88A3D89B-crop-1109x729-1651234844-300x197.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="385123" first="Destinee" last="Barnes"] - ABC Lightning Showcase Elite - Winston Salem Christian </strong> Barnes brings a toughness around the paint by finishing on contact at the rim. Destinee finishes with her left-hand while slashing to the cup. She does her best work around the basket just on effort and finding ways to scrap for points. Destinee is a tough kid with even tougher mindset. She is not flashy at all but, she is productive around the cup. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="297180" first="Betsey" last="Burnett"] - Charlotte Dream Elite 17U - Garinger HS (pictured on front)</strong> Betsey just plays the game so smooth at times from the guard position. She does a great job of directing traffic, being vocal and really finding the open teammate on the floor. Burnett uses the ball screen to get by defenders along with the ability to change gears so well. Hadleigh rebounds the ball very well from her position and out of her area. Hadleigh can be a big guard at times or play out on the perimeter as a small forward. She never looks to force shots and really understands good shot selection. Hadleigh has already received NCAA D1 interest according to Head Coach Craig Campos <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-421171" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/55B6A899-9FFE-44AF-85B8-1276DA20A5D5.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="260096" first="Cassidy" last="Geddes"] - Lady Attack Elite 17U National - Newton-Conover HS </strong> Geddes is a strong combo guard who really shoots the ball at a high clip. Cassidy connected on some mid-range jumpers when she was not dialing in from downtown today. She was able to score the ball from all 3 levels here today while, finishing at the rim in transition on several occasions. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-421170" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/B612B9C3-42EB-4BDE-9FD1-AF3EADCE899B.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="201848" first="Reagan" last="Iovino"] - Lady Attack Elite 17U National - Cuthbertson HS (Waxhaw)</strong> Reagan plays the game at a very good pace and does a good job of stretching the floor. Iovino has a good basketball feel for the game and an deep range shooting ability. Reagan connected on 6 three pointers in one game we watched her play this past weekend. She has a extremely quick shot release while doing a good job on getting to her spots on the floor.
