The 2026 class is one of the most anticipated ranking classes that we have had in a while. Players have been shining in middle school but now is when it all counts as they enter high school. Here are some of the top players in the class to keep an eye on moving as the spring/summer season approaches.
Zoe Osby – 5’11″ – Wing – New Hope Academy – Fairfax Stars
Zoe plays well with her back to the basket. She also has the ability to face up and can attack from key. She is one of the most versatile player in this group. Defensively she can guard multiple positions. Look for her to have a breakout summer.
Samantha Dononan – 5’6″ – Point Guard – Maryland Belles
Samantha is a quick shift point guard with good vision. She’s tough and pesky on defense rotating from the top to the wing with good lateral movement. She seems taller than she is because of her length and thin frame.
Karmen McDuffie -5’8″ – Wing
Karmen attacks well in transition and doesn’t shy away from contact giving her extra opportunities to score from the line. She has good form on her shot once she gets her feet set and is a good free throw shooter.
Kendal Williams – 5’7″ – Guard – Maryland Belles
Kendal can play either guard position and keeps her head up to find cutters. She plays under control and has a good shot when given space. Speeding up her release will give her more scoring opportunities.
Courtney Smith – 5’4″ – Point Guard – Princess Warriors
Courtney is a very active point guard that gets out in front of the play on turnovers for easy transition layups. She finishes well with either hand. She won’t be the tallest on the court but her creativity will allow her to make plays at the high school level.
Sophia Brooks – 6’2″ – Wing – Team Takeover
Sophia has a good post body but is extremely mobile. She has the agility to play at the top of the press and a soft shot from the high post. Her length is disruptive. She will be on the EYBL circuit with first watch at the Takeover Cinco De Mayo.
