Continue ReadingBullitt East graduated a ton of talent after last season’s State Runner Up run but so far there has been no drop off for the Lady Chargers. A lot of that is thanks to the youth movement with Freshman stars like Tinelli. Anna is a versatile guard who is mature beyond her years on the court. She’s hard to speed up and knows how to run a team. Look for her to consistently push to be among the top players in this class.
Highlights
Kylie is more of a scoring point guard than Tinelli but her long term potential is right there with the best in the class. Downey excels as a slasher who can get to the paint and finish or make the smart play and kick it out to teammates. Keep an eye on Kylie to be the type of player to score 3,000+ points in her career.
Mercy is very young but loaded with talent that should blossom over the coming years. Reitzel has the tools to be a disruptive force on both ends of the court thanks to her offensive skills and her ability to switch and guard multiple positions on the defensive end. Abby has had a little bit of a slow start for Mercy this year but long term, she’s going to be a D1 player.
Highlights
While Madison is a little bit undersized as a power forward, She is tough and plays with a great motor. Young is almost averaging a double-double this season already and her numbers will only improve as she becomes a more consistent long range shooter and converts to more of a 3 or a stretch 4.
Bardstown is another team that has graduated a lot of talent but Courtney is doing her best to carry the Lady Tigers this season. Miyah is averaging 17 points per game this year and is one of the best young talents in the 5th region that is loaded with future D1 players. Miyah is only going to improve and she will likely shine this next AAU season when she has more talent around her and isn’t the focus of the opposing team.
