This year the event featured 9 games on Saturday with 7 boy's games and 2 girl's games on the schedule. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Youngsters Take Notice: </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='560678' first='Jalaya' last='Lytes']</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='560668' first='Evie' last='Godfrey']</strong> saw plenty of action in a lopsided Lady Wildcats win today over Hammond. Lytes finished the day with 19 points. Jalaya got most of her points while attacking the cup. She really played the game with a good mindset and feel to the game. Head Coach Molly Goodrich has to be smiling with these underclassmen along with a few others on the roster. Head Coach Coral Johnson will oversee the team this year with Asia Dozier leaving to go onto the college level at the University of Buffalo. The Lady Cardinals will have to rely on a committee to score the ball this season. watchout for <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='429820' first='Zaria' last='Thompson']</strong> down the road. Thompson recently arrived at the school on Alpine Road and will be eligible to play very soon. The Lexington HS duo will both play at the NCAA D2 level next year. Garner a post player will head off to West Georgia University next season. Lindsay was way too much for the Hammond Lady Shyhawks today on her way to scoring 23 points. She was able to finish around the cup today while patrolling the paint. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yanity it seemed spent more time on the floor today than standing at times. Jenna is a human-floor burn at times and shows with her play. She will sacrifice her body to take a charge or jump on the floor for a loose ball. She will play in state next season at Newberry (SC) (NCAA D2). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Lady Skyhawks Must Replace Scoring: </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hammond will need to find someone to replace <strong>Tyra Myers</strong> 2,044 career points. UNSIGNED Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='185433' first='Jaidah' last='Liebert']</strong> brings consistency to the floor every time she plays for the Lady Vikings. Liebert scored the ball at all 3 levels today. She has a great nose for the ball and always remains active on both ends of the floor. Jaidah finished the day with 15 points in the win. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='320740' first='Lauren' last='Crosland'] </strong>is a name to remember down the road for the Lady Vikings. Crosland will look to stalk the baseline at times and plays actives in the passing lanes.
