Continue ReadingLindsey Davis Lindsey Davis 5’8″ | SG Nodaway Valley | 2024 State IA and the Nodaway Valley Wolverines have been on fire at the beginning of this season, starting off with a solid 6-1 record with their only loss coming to Solon high school at the very beginning of the year. The Wolverines are a very well rounded squad that I don’t anticipate losing much this season, they show poise and intelligence under the leadership and play of star guard Lindsey Davis Lindsey Davis 5’8″ | SG Nodaway Valley | 2024 State IA . Davis is averaging just over 28 PPG, 7 RPG, and 4 APG while having already recorded a 43 point master-piece performance earlier on this season. If she keeps up this production she will have the best overall stat line of any player in the state when it’s all said and done at the end of this season. I don’t see any team stepping up to stop this Nodaway Valley team before the state tournament as of right now and they are too fundamental to stop themselves so they will keep competing at an exceptional level until someone steps up to show that they can hang around.
Highlights
Audi Crooks Audi Crooks 6’3″ | C Bishop Garrigan | 2023 State #42 Nation IA has returned for her senior year right where she left off last season, an efficient and successful player in the post that shows out every single game while also getting her teammates involved. Throughout the first four weeks the Iowa State women’s basketball commit is leading the state in scoring and in field goals made. This is an impressive feat in itself but how she also gets other’s involved with her passing is what really stands out. She understands where her open teammate will be from previous game experience and just being an overall baller who really understands the game. She is still scoring at will and sometimes even over some double and triples teams in certain situations. I expect her to finish out the year as the scoring leader in the state overall and take her talents to the next level where she will be an instant impact for the Iowa State Cyclones, who will be losing a good amount of talent but also have a stand-out incoming freshman class so any thing is possible.
Megan Kremer
Megan Kremer
Megan Kremer starts off the first half of this season as the leading rebounder in the state of Iowa while helping her Marquette Catholic team to an overall 8-0 start this season. Kremer was a rebounding machine last season and it comes to no shock that she is doing the same this year. It’s going to be tough to knock out Kremer from this top rebounding spot as the conference she plays in really doesn’t have many players that can match-up with her size and speed on the floor. I think that Kremer can really put a season together to remember while leading this team into the play-off’s with some solid momentum. They will just have to make sure that they stay prepared for the type of competition they will play down the road, not just who they are necessialy right now.
Alli Clarke
Alli Clarke
Alli Clark came into this season as the Regina Regals third offensive option but she is making every opportunity count on every chance she gets. While the Regals are off to a hot start under the leadership in the back court of Morgan Miller Morgan Miller 5’9″ | PG Iowa City Regina | 2025 State IA and Grace Gaarde Grace Gaarde 5’3″ | PG Iowa City Regina | 2023 State IA , Clark is also making a big impact. She is showing off how efficient she can be and is now in the top 5 in the entire state in points scored this season. I think the number one thing to say about her game is that she just keeps it simple. She lets the game come to her and doesn’t try to do so much. She does her job and it turns out to be very successful for herself and for her team, both in high school ball and during the AAU season. This Regals teams will keep on pushing as they will have a great opportunity to make it back to state once again for a second year in a row. Their goal this season being to bring home a state championship.
