Illiana Greene – Regis Jesuit
Although undersized, Greene has immense skill at the guard position thanks to her confidence with the ball. The shooting guard does her part to get buckets for a competitive Regis Jesuit team. She possesses quick pace attacking closeouts, proving to keep her head up at all times. To kick off the season, Greene has posted 8.1 points and 2.4 rebounds while scoring 46% of her two point attempts. Given Greene’s confidence with the ball in tight spaces, she still has tangible room to grow as a passer. She could certainly gather another couple assists per game from dump offs to teammates in the dunker spot.
Tianna Chambers Tianna Chambers 6'0" | CG Cherry Creek | 2025 State CO – Cherry Creek
The lead guard for undefeated Cherry Creek, Chambers has been nothing short of spectacular to start the season. The sophomore guard plays above her age with a truly refined skillset at 6′ tall. A key aspect for Chambers is her utilization of her above average reach. She stays poised on the defensive end, tipping away inbounds passes or staying low as a help defender. Chambers is adept as a point of attack defender, proving to be dominant versus four positions. Through the start of the season, the sophomore has posted 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. A key area for Chambers has been her pick and roll playmaking, doing well timing those entry passes. Once her three point shot returns to the mean, Chambers will be hovering around 20 points most games.
Tori Baker – Highlands Ranch
Baker has taken the lead for Highlands Ranch, possessing three level scoring ability entering her sophomore season. The lead guard is an elite point of attack defender, proving capable versus opposing ballhandlers. Off of defensive rebounds and steals, Baker constantly looks to push the pace within the fullcourt. Some of her outlets are jaw dropping, given the precision and distance put on the passes. At the Fairview tournament, Baker was electric on the offensive end through her three level scoring. A natural shotmaker, the guard has shown increased volume as a movement shooter coming off screens. Any lead guard must possess confidence with the ball, Baker displays upside as a pick and roll scoring threat. Proving capable pulling up into mid range jump shots.
Quinn Vansickle – Valor Christian
Vansickle already understands the halfcourt pacing needed to be successful in a slow paced offense. The guard has shown strengths as a shooter, either off the catch or stepping into the pull up. Within a D1 backcourt, Vansickle has carved out a consistent complementary role with flashes of primary creation. Though the start of sophomore season, Vansickle has posted 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. The guard is certainly one of the top perimeter playmakers in the class and will be someone to keep tabs on for the coming years.
