Her play propelled GRC all the way to the Championship game against a red hot Notre Dame Academy team. Byars played with a level of energy that opposing teams could not contain. She can knock down three as well as get buckets in the paint. On day two the tournament she had a double double against CAL scoring a team high 27 points along with 11 rebounds. Following that game against Mercy she had a team high 24 points with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. She ended the Holiday Classic with 21 points and 6 rebounds in the final game crowning GRC as the 2022 White, Greer, Maggard Holiday Classic Champs.

[player_tooltip player_id='164386' first='Brianna' last='Byars'] continues to show that she is one of the top bigs in the state. She is such a bruiser down low matching up with her for 32 minutes just wears defenders down. The level of physicality she plays with is hard to match. On day two in a close win against CAL she had a double-double putting up 15 points and 12 rebounds. She followed that performance with 22 points and 8 rebounds in a redemption win over Mercy.

Trinity Gay is a great on ball defender that can score and rebound the ball very well. She was another key contributor to GRC's success in the tournament. In the Championship game she really came to play dropping 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Gay brings the senior leadership and always lets the game come to her.

The OU commit [player_tooltip player_id='164407' first='Emma' last='Barnett'] is arguably the best three point shooting forward in Kentucky. She is an absolute marksman from long distance with the ability to really stretch the floor. Barnett's best performance was against Frederick Douglass she had 18 points going 4/7 from three along with 7 rebounds. Her game will transition well into the MAC conference next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='295768' first='Alyssa' last='Murphy'] continues to climb the ranks as one of the top point guards in a loaded class of 2025. She is a deadly shooter from long distance that can heat up in a blink of an eye. Murphy had an impressive game against Lincoln County dropping 17 points, going 5/10 from three.

[player_tooltip player_id='254279' first='Leah' last='Macy'] in back to back tournaments has showed why she is one of the top players in the state regardless of class. Macy has incredible touch around the rim and her rebound put back ability is just next level. She has a quick second jump that really gives her an advantage on the glass. Macy had 23 points and 12 rebounds in a blow out victory against Frederick Douglass. She then put up another double-double in the semi-final game against GRC with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
