First time watching Wilson play.. and her style is everything I cherish about the game. Simplicity, efficiency and relentlessness. Every possession Wilson found a way to impact the game at all levels. The midrange seems to be her go to area, wether its at the elbow or in the circle.. its usually good. Capping off the night with a 30 ball and a win.. Reagan is a player that I’ll continue to keep an eye on. Im expecting the offers to start rolling in.
Lindsay Harzich
Lindsay Harzich
Harzich plays with an undetectable type of emotion.. which seems to work in her favor. She plays the game with a hint of aggression, but a ton of poise. She has the confidence to take the shot if left open, and can finish around the rim when she finds her way down there. A key piece in the offense, that can take away some pressure from the other players.
Watching Abdul play is exciting, her game has more flash than her emotion.. but she simply gets the job done. She has the confidence and competitiveness to play against anyone and still find ways to be herself when operating through an offense. She can score from all levels, play make from all angles and has the versatility to play with all type of skillsets. A true combo guard who has a bright future ahead of her.
The potential is evident. Nisha showed her maturity and focus in last years State final.. and even after that she still remains the silent but ready for anything type of player. Size wise you would think defenders can bully her, but her handles allow her to switch angles and directions at any moment. When attacking the basket, she shows her craftiness and vision. Wether it’s to make a play for a cutting teammate, or a move to slither around the defense… the kid has a deep skillset.
Davis shows up to work, and go home. First off, she’s competitive as they come. Her pace and wide ranged skill set allows her to be effective against most defenses. Zone? she can maneuver through it with or without the ball. Man? She’s ready for that challenge. Madison doesnt seem to show emotion all the time, but her ability to make plays for herself but also with others can’t be unnoticed.
Highlights
Elizabeth Andriano
Elizabeth Andriano
Not being the tallest on the floor stands out.. but still having the heart to attack the paint stands out even more. Andriano has seemed to perfect a running high arc floater.. that she can get off at any moment. She’s tough, focused and has no fear. Her style is whatever the team needs. NO forced shots, no huge errors. Plays with a purpose and efficiency.
Jackson is the #1 sophomore in the state in her class for a reason. She posses a multitude of ways to score, her vision and handles are on one wavelength, which makes her.. lethal when attacking and facilitating. Destiny’s skillset is crafty, confident, and adaptable. Game on the line shot? she want’s it. Game on the line defensive stop? She’s ready. Will easily be one of the best guards to put on a Whitney Young jersey, let alone one of the best to put on for her city.
Henigan’s feel and pace of the game can’t be missed. She’s aggressive and fast when attacking, but still has body control to stop on a dime and make a play for herself or for another. She’s relentless on the offensive side of the floor, but still maintains energy to apply the same pressure on the other. She plays with all heart and the goal to win. A strong addition to a program needing a competitive switch.
