HM: Stone Bridge guard Carly Sweazie Carly Sweazie 5’6″ | PG Bishop O’ Connell HS | 2026 State VA has been a steady hand all season. She is a terrific ball handler and excels in transition. I love her ability as a driver; over time, she will fine-tune some parts of her game. As most freshmen do, Carly has room to grow as a player, but she has had a great year.
A’myah Robinson A’myah Robinson 5’7″ | CG Culpeper County | 2026 State VA is one of Virginia’s best shooters; her numbers show that. She made 41 threes, making them at a 53% rate. What I like about her game is her ability never to force her shot. She is averaging 21.1 PPG and shoots 60% from the field, and she’s the second-leading scorer on an excellent Culpeper County team.
Highlights
Ava Sewall
Ava Sewall
The Annandale Atoms haven’t been great this year, but guard Ava Sewall has been one of the bright spots. She shoots a good ball from 3 and has an uncanny ability to score for a freshman. She’s averaging 17.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 3.1 APG. Annadales’s lack of success has been why she has not been talked about that much, but she will be an excellent player for the coming three years.
Demi Gilliam Demi Gilliam 6’1″ | SF Paul VI | 2026 State VA has been a catalyst for a terrific Gainesville team all year. She’s averaging 12.6 PPG and 10.6 RPG and is an outstanding defender. Demi has a solid post-game and uses that length to get shots over defenders from 10-15 feet out. She’s an exceptional athlete and moves well for her size, allowing her to guard multiple positions. Gainesville has only lost three games this season, and Demi Gilliam Demi Gilliam 6’1″ | SF Paul VI | 2026 State VA is a gigantic reason why.
I will go with another Gainesville Cardinal, Peyton White Peyton White 6’0″ | C Gainesville HS | 2026 State VA , at the other forward spot. White is averaging 6.6 PPG and 6.2 6.2 RPG. Those numbers don’t pop out at you, but what she specializes in is her defense. She’s averaging 2.4 BPG and has fantastic instincts and length for a freshman. She will average a double-double at some point in high school, and she’s already one of the best paint defenders in NOVA.
