HM: PVI is a team rich with talent; finding your role on a team like this can be hard sometimes. Riley Hamburger Riley Hamburger 6’0″ | SG Paul VI | 2025 State VA has done an excellent job finding out how she fits in. Riley competes on both ends of the floor and does a good job getting to the rim finishing through contact. Since she plays with the kind of talent she does, it’s part of the reason her abilities aren’t on display as much as some of the other girls here.
Catherine LeTendre Catherine LeTendre 6’1″ | CG Potomac School | 2025 State VA ‘s season was cut short by injury, but she was productive in the time she played, averaging 13.6 PPG 3.9 RPG. Catherine is a 6’1 guard that can play either position. She is a matchup problem and has a size advantage over almost anyone that guards her. She had a game early in the year with 28 points, carrying her team to a win over an outstanding Seton Conquistadors team. Potomac struggled without LeTendre, so she needed to be here despite missing much time.
Highlights
Raigan Mccalla is someone who understands basketball. She’s fantastic off the ball, constantly cutting at the right time and hitting open shots. She makes the right play a lot and plays wise beyond her years.
At the other forward spot, I want to shout out Amirah Anderson Amirah Anderson 5’10” | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA . Amirah is an outstanding scorer, and she can score at all three levels. Her 3-point shot has improved, and she’s a fantastic rebounder. She has excellent versatility on defense and plays the game hard—a very productive season for a rising star.
Highlights
Bishop Ireton Nyla Brooks Nyla Brooks 6’2″ | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA has had a phenomenal year. She missed some time dealing with an injury, but she’s been spectacular in that time she’s been on the court. Nyla is averaging 19.3 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Nyla has excellent length at 6’2 and is fantastic around the rim. She has a nice pull-up jump shot, and she is deceptively strong. Nyla could be the best player in the 2025 class from Virginia.
Skylar Giuliani
Skylar Giuliani
Skylar Giuliani is underrated. She averaged 13.2 PPG 7.1 RPG and 2.2 SPG. Skylar is an outstanding athlete for her frame, allowing her to drive by many slower defenders that guard her. She has a great touch and has the potential to average a double-double in the coming two years.
