Nakia Ollivierre Nakia Ollivierre 5’9″ | PG Waterloo West | 2026 IA is a young and special talent that made waves for her constant production this past year during her freshman season for the AGWSR Cougars, who ended up finish their season at 23-2 and just falling short of state. In her first high school season Ollvierre eclipsed the 500 point mark when it comes to scoring at the varsity level. Her talent and game is special. She has an extremely high ceiling with the length and athleticism she possesses from her point guard position. She did a great job of scoring, rebounding, and leading her team in all major aspects of the game this season. She has a fantastic handle that got her to the rim on several occasions this season and was even named 3rd team all state in the 1A class, being the only freshman in this class to receive this award. Looking forward her growth is key, she has a solid jumper but she will work to score the ball more efficiently and a little bit quicker as her game expands. On defense she does a great job of reading her opponents eyes so she can make a steal or deflection and take it the other way. Keep on eye on Nakia moving forward as she is sure to amaze.

#4. Sydney Doeschot Sydney Doeschot 5'8" | PG Kingsley-Pierson | 2026 State IA – Kingsley-Pierson High School
Sydney Doeschot Sydney Doeschot 5’8″ | PG Kingsley-Pierson | 2026 State IA is listed as a point guard on her profile but she seemed to play the 1-3 position this season for her Kingsley-Pierson team. Doeschot’s game is really versatile. She is a multi-level scoring threat that can really get any shot she wants. She has a very extensive “bag” when it comes down to her offensive skill set, this includes a smooth pump-fake one dribble pull up off of a screen, a nice cross over into a jump shot off of the dribble, the ability to get to the hoop, the ability to finish through contact with either hand and much, much more. During her freshman year she averaged 21.7 PPG on 49.5% shooting, including going 73.5% from the free throw line. Her best ability on the floor is scoring the ball but that’s not her only ability. She is a good on-ball defender with instincts to jump to help-side when needed as well as being a good rebounder from the guard spot. One of the best things about her game is that she doesn’t need to always have the ball in her hands to make an impact. She does a good job of creating a lot from very little and doing it efficiently. Moving forward toward AAU season, Sydney will be player to watch out of the state of Iowa over the next few years.

#3. Trishelle Miller Trishelle Miller 5'10" | CG Sioux City East | 2026 State IA – Sioux City East High School
Trishelle Miller Trishelle Miller 5’10” | CG Sioux City East | 2026 State IA came into her freshman year with the goal of wanting to have a successful freshman basketball season for her Sioux City East team while standing out individually. Well, she sure did that. She put together one of the most impressive seasons of the year overall by a player and she is only going to get better. She comes into this article and our Top 5 rankings at #3 after averaging 20.3 PPG and 4 APG for her Black Pirates squad. Miller is smart, crafty, and agile. She plays well on or off the ball, has the ability to handle with both hands and finish on either side, and does a good job of getting set before she shoots a three. During this season she showed that she was the best scorer on the floor most of the time while being mentally “ahead of the curb” compared to her opponents in big-game situations. In the summer prior to her freshman year she received an offer to play from the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. A promising offer but I’m sure that after the season she just put together and the season she will put together with her All Iowa Attack team, that there is going to be much more interest coming her way. Her size, speed, and ceiling is pretty high at this point and I don’t expect that to change moving forward.
#2. Jayla Williams Jayla Williams 5'10" | CG Ankeny | 2026 State IA – Ankeny High School
Jayla Williams Jayla Williams 5’10” | CG Ankeny | 2026 State IA is a program changing talent at the high-school level, but does that apply at the college level as well? It very well could and from what I’ve seen so far I would give a resounding, yes! Williams, an athletic and insanely skilled combo guard, has lived up to the hype she had coming into this season and then some. She has the ability to handle, score and defend the 1-4 position on a high school court while being a mismatch on the offensive end most of the times. She is solid in the post with either hand and exquisite footwork, she can go either way into a mid-range jump shot, and lastly she can catch and shoot from behind the arc or even pull up off of the dribble in transition when given the space. Something quite impressive when you account for her length and athletic ability. During her freshman campaign Williams showed all of this and made her opponents realize that she is going to be a problem in Iowa over the next few seasons with all the skill she possesses. Prior to the season Williams took a visit to the University of Iowa as they have interest in her along with some other big-named schools, with plenty more to come in the future.
#1. Jenica Lewis Jenica Lewis 5'10" | PG Johnston | 2026 State IA – Johnston High School
Jenica Lewis Jenica Lewis 5’10” | PG Johnston | 2026 State IA was the only freshman who started for her team in the state tournament this year and she did awesome on the states brightest stage to end her freshman campaign. Lewis, a five star recruit and a top 10-15 nationally ranked prospect in the class of 2026, did what she was asked to this season for the Johnston Dragons and that didn’t change during their trip at the Well. She is a special talent with the highest ceiling in her class due to her size and position. She possesses every offensive and defensive skill you would want in a guard at the moment with the ability to grow both literally and metaphorically. Her handle is smooth going both ways, she can finish every way possible, can knock down NBA-range three pointers, and is one of the best passers in the state at the guard position. Prior to playing a high school game Lewis had 20+ D1 offers with more coming in throughout her first high school season. By the time she gets to her senior year she could have well over 75+ offers from schools all over the country as long she keeps on this trajectory, something I could realistically see happening at this point.
