Continue ReadingJaeden Pratt Jaeden Pratt 5’10” | CG Ankeny Centennial | 2025 State IA put together quite the successful season as a sophomore for Ankeny Centennial this year with it ending just short of a state championship. Pratt is a long 3 guard who can move from the 2 position all the way to the 5 when needed for her squad. This season she did a really good job of showing off some versatile game play in several different categories on the floor. She did a solid job of scoring the ball at a high rate, defending with tenacity, and grabbing a rebound a good majority of the time. Coming into this rankings update Pratt was #8 player in her class but going into this AAU season she is at the #6 spot, showing subtle but consistent movement up the rankings. If she can keep putting together these seasons while helping her team win and growing her own game then there is no reason she can’t crack the Top 5 in the near future.
Dasia Foster Dasia Foster 6’3″ | C Oskaloosa | 2025 State IA comes into this players rankings update at #21 after having a nice season for her Oskaloosa high school team. Foster, one of the best centers in the 2025 class, showed her dominance in the paint for her squad game in and out this past season. When I say she is one of the best centers in her class, I really mean it. She has good size and coordination by the hoop while also being a good skill player at the same time. She is a hard worker that is dedicated to the game and has a really positive attitude whenever she steps on the floor. I expect her to keep rising on this list as time goes on and her game grows. Her ceiling is fairly high in my book. There are a lot of colleges out there that would love the size and talent they would get out of a player such as Foster. If she ends up expanding her game into having a nice jump shot over the next few years as well then it maybe over for everyone trying to guard her.
Morgan Miller Morgan Miller 5’9″ | PG Iowa City Regina | 2025 State IA keeps on rising on this list every time there is an update, this time it is to the #16 spot. Miller is one of the best overall guards in her class and especially at the point guard position. She is a great example of a coach on the floor in the form of a player. She does all the little things to be efficient and well rounded. She possesses a nice handle and has really grown into being able to knock down a deep three point shoot when left open. In back to back seasons she led the Iowa City-Regina Regals to the state tournament where they happen to fall short, in both of these runs Miller did a good job of taking control of the games and making sure that they finished the job up until their state appearances. During the AAU season she will be playing for All Iowa Attack on one of their top teams where she can show off to a bigger audience that she is a play-maker and a huge prospect in the 2025 class.
Reagan Pagniano Reagan Pagniano 5’7″ | SG Pleasant Valley | 2025 State IA moves up on the list after putting her name in the records books with her Pleasant Valley Spartans team as they brought home their first state championship this season after finishing the year undefeated. Pagniano showed out at the state tournament and frankly, all season. She is a quick point guard with a fast first step. She is smaller in size but makes up for it with her ability to handle and create space. During this season she showed off on several occasions that she can basically get any shot she wants when she is guarded 1 on 1, no matter the size difference. On top of all this she showed that she is efficient and has ice in her veins when it matters down the stretch of big games, all season long, including the state championship. This is Another player who is in the All Iowa Attack program that will be showing off her skill to a wider audience this upcoming AAU season, something I’m excited to see first hand.
