PLAYER OF THE YEAR
It says a lot about the state of your program when the POY in the freshman and sophomore class come from the same state championship team. Well, that’s where we stand. Wypych had a terrific regular season, but she really drove the point home in the playoffs. Big time players play big in big games, right? Well Wypych might just have been the best player in the Division 1 Final 4. She scored 20 points in the state championship game, scoring half of her team’s points in a defensive slugfest. Wypych showed a mental toughness well beyond her years. Just think, we get to watch 2 more years of this.
