Note: The following is pulled from an article written last week on the top ten players in the 2025 class. Green is certainly a walking double-double, but she honestly takes it beyond that as she produced multiple triple-doubles in her sophomore season. She uses her length and athleticism to elevate over opponents to score and to grab rebounds. She is also an excellent shot blocker. Her timing is special, and she was able to get 10+ blocks in a single game on more than one occasion this year. Green can score in a lot of different ways around the basket. To make her scoring ability more impressive, she also finished the season with the 3rd best field goal percentage in the state (63.7%).

Frazee is so tough to stop around the basket and in the paint. For starters, she is very strong and can handle a lot of physicality. She also has a lot of moves she can use to gain an edge on her defender. The way she uses her body to keep the defender away from the ball is really impressive. When she does get fouled, she can knock down free throws as well. Additionally, Frazee has a high basketball IQ and makes great passes. She is a strong rebounder, leading her team this past season with 6.5 RPG to go along with her 10.1 PPG.

If I had to pick a player in advance that I felt would make a huge jump in their junior season, it would be Gibson. I say that because she already has the skills but should play a much larger role in Notre Dame’s offense next season. This past season, they had one of the top 2023 players on their roster and she averaged about 14 shot attempts per game. As the 2nd leading scorer, I feel like Gibson is poised to step in and replace some of that scoring. I also feel as if she is going to improve on her already impressive overall game this Summer as she is playing for a very talented IGB 17U UAA team.
Kincaid is a very intriguing prospect. She’s got the length and height, but she also moves her feet extremely well and has good footwork. She has good hands around the basket and has a strong mid-range game as she can knock down jumpers and elevate over defenders to get her shot off. When help defense steps over, Kincaid has shown an ability to see the floor and make good passes. Defensively, she is a good shot blocker. Even when she doesn’t come up with the block, she often alters the shot. Kincaid has the potential to be a major impact player next season.
Trammell is a force around the basket. Defensively, she can come up with a lot of blocks and rebounds. She has great hands and she’s very strong. Offensively, Trammell really stands out because of her ability to stretch the defense out to the perimeter. A lot of players on this list did not even attempt a three pointer this past season, but Trammell actually led her team in outside shooting after shooting nearly 40% from deep on the season. She was also her team’s leading rebounder (7.2 RPG) and had the highest field goal percentage overall (52.3%).
Cyuzozo is a player that I just kept hearing about all season long. She is so tough on the boards and around the basket. She had the highest field goal percentage on her team this past season (49.8%) and she nearly averaged a double-double with her 10.6 PPG and 8 RPG. While she has great hands and can finish at the rim, she also moves extremely well without the ball, ensuring she leaves room for her teammates to drive to the basket. Cyuzozo has a ton of potential and is definitely a name to remember.
