She has one more weapon to feed next year with class of 2026 #1 Brooklynn Haywood Brooklynn Haywood 5'9" | PG Union | 2026 State WA . She will be taking her talents to Camas, an already loaded team. Nationally ranked? I would bet on it in a big way. Here are some of the other best point guards in class of 2025.
As mentioned above, she has exceptional floor vision as the point guard for what will be the stats of Washington’s super talented and most likely nationally ranked Camas. It would be easy to say that she could be a 20 point scorer on most teams. The fact that she recognizes her importance as a floor general and true pass first point guard speaks volumes to the type of player she is. I’m guessing her teammates are on alert at all times with her ability to thread the needle. She is a dandy and plays her role as well as any.
Hard not to recognize the point guard on a team who hasn’t lost a game in two years. Ellensburg has one of the top point guards in the state with Philip running the show. She is a tough player who greets opposing ball handlers at the top of the best vaunted Ellensburg defense which has plenty of help behind her. Alana Marrs Alana Marrs 6’4″ | C Ellensburg | 2025 State WA , another ranked player in 2025’s updated rankings is a shot changer at 6’4. Philip can get her team points, deliver the ball to her talented teammates and is a leader on the floor. She excels with her mid-range game and gets it up and down the floor quick and easy. Class 2A may be looking at a possible three peat next season. Ellensburg still has enough to get it done.
I haven’t seen Portia play in person since last summer but have been following her progress. She was a true point guard in the Top 250 Expo last year, where I saw those attributes on display. She has improved her game since. She is a tough player who gets downhill like a “bulldog” as I recall saying in a previous article. She can also beat you from long range with the ability to get hot from three. She handles it well and has that toughness and no fear style of play. She is quick and crafty. A prospect to watch next season.

Paige plays on another great team at Lake Washington. Although I would call her a combo guard, with her ability to shoot the rock. She has a beautiful looking shot from three with that quick release. It leaves little room for error, one of the best compliments I can give a shooter. She also said averaged just over three assists on a young and balanced scoring team. With 2026 star Ashley Uusitalo Ashley Uusitalo 5’9″ | SG Lake Washington | 2026 State WA also in the backcourt, this is a team that will be dangerous next season and beyond. Paige is a very skilled player who can play either guard spot.

Maybe another that would be considered a shooting guard. She was the defensive player of the year in her conference this season. I’ll give her the nod here as the defensive catalyst that gets her team going. Also a good shooter who can light it up from beyond the arc. She is quick and fast, and takes the ball away from opposing guards. That’s the start of being the general on the floor for her team.
Here is one of the best and most talented ball handling guards in the state. She has it on a string and is able to create for herself with her quick dribble. She is tough to rattle with those ball skills. A big time scores from the point guard position. She can get into the lane with a variety of moves, along with the quickness off the dribble. One of the leading scorers of all players in the class of 2025, she should see her stock as a prospect continue to rise after garnering attention from college coaches already. She has elite ball-skills.
